Stan Grant is man from Wiradjuri country, located in Central NSW. He has been a journalist since 1987, and has worked for the ABC, SBS, the Seven Network and Sky News Australia. From 2001 to 2012 he worked for CNN as an anchor and senior correspondent in Asia and the Middle East. He is also the author of several non-fiction books, including 'Talking to my Country', . Among many other things, one of his notable accomplishments is his speech from the IQ2 debate, ‘Racism is Destroying the Australian Dream’. This speech was a finalist in the United Nations Media Peace Awards due to the importance, significance and relevance. As well as its role in stimulating public awareness and understanding. His iconic talk continues to inspire and educate millions. This speech has been compared to the likes of Martin Luther Kings, 'I Have a Dream' speech.
