Artist Statement/Bio
Terri Moore is a pastel artist living in Leland, NC. Art has always been a passion for Terri. She is an artist, nature and animal lover, and love’s that she can combine these passions into art.
Painting was always a hobby for Terri, and she started taking Adult Ed classes in NY, and joined Wet Paints, a local art club. After taking several years of drawing and acrylic painting classes, Terri began taking lessons in pastels with an artist from the club who had been working with pastels for over 40 years and she developed a passion for pastels. She began taking lessons with pastel artist Christine Dimauro, a member of the PSA, who has won several awards for her pastel work. These classes increased her passion for pastels. Now a resident of North Carolina, Terri continues to take lessons and workshops to further her art education.
Terri has been featured in the January 2020 Issue of the Leland Magazine, and the October 2019 issue of Forest View Magazine. She has done many commissioned works of animals, and “I love drawing animals, and capturing their spirit and colors that nature gave them that we don’t always see.” She is a member of the Pastel Society of North Carolina, the Art League of Leland, the Oak Island Art Guild and the Coastal Carolina Pastel Painters. She has won several awards for her work in NY, and looks forward to showing her work in NC.
