Artist Statement/Bio
I studied art in NY and LA, where I worked primarily in oil paint, charcoal and pastels. I moved to North Carolina in 1992.
I work semi realistically combining photographs with memories and although I still love painting, I find colored pencils and pastels the perfect mediums for nature, animals, and people. I am a member of the Pastel Society of North Carolina and the Colored Pencil Society of America, and have exhibited artwork at galleries and museums across North Carolina, including, Halle Cultural Art Center, Ambleside Gallery, Cary Gallery of Artists, and the Museum of Natural Science in Raleigh. My artwork is included, annually, in a themed nature show at several of the North Carolina Aquariums.
