Artist Statement/Bio
Anne Hoffman Kiefaber is a versatile artist who works in pastels, and oils, but whose subject matter is varied. Though her favorite subjects are the landscape and the figure, she also loves to do still-life and portraits. Her work draws on the influence of classical and Romantic masters . She is very influenced by light whether it falls on the landscape or the figure. It influences how she approaches a piece. A long time plein air painter, she loves the feel of a moment in time and working from life helps her ability to capture this effect.
