Dress Code and School Uniform

Appropriate student attire helps create an attitude and atmosphere conducive to learning and demonstrates the students’ pride in themselves and in their school. Student attire must reflect the important and serious purpose of Panyaden International School. The school has adopted an official school uniform with designated variations. All uniforms are available for purchase at the school office.

School uniform is compulsory unless on specific days identified by the school administration. The uniform is designed to be comfortable and suitable for the climate. Alterations in style/design and facsimiles of the school uniform are not acceptable. Uniforms must have a proper fit (not too baggy, short or tight) and be clean and presentable. In addition, no faded, torn, or significantly worn-out clothing may be used.

Modest dress in accordance with Thai culture is expected at all times. Shoulders, upper chest, upper back and upper legs should be covered. Excessive jewellery or other forms of body decoration are not permitted, especially when it causes a health and safety concern.

Students who choose to wear additional layers of clothing can do so as long as these pieces are school-issued, and are in good condition. The school store has hoodies for families to purchase. Non-uniform pullovers, hoodies or jackets are not permitted.

RECOMMENDED FOOTWEAR

At Panyaden International School, it is best for students to wear footwear that can be easily taken off and put back on. Students will be expected to take their shoes off when entering classrooms and other areas of the school. On PE days, students are also expected to wear or bring with them, a pair of training shoes suitable for PE classes.

MONK VISITS

On days when monks visit, it is required that students either wear a sarong over their skorts or the school uniform long trousers. Skorts or shorts are not permitted on those occasions.
