After-School Clubs

The school helps to coordinate a large variety of after-school clubs. These clubs run from 16:00 to 17:00 (Monday to Thursday). Every term, teachers, parents and specialists from outside the school offer a variety of after-school activities. In the past, these have included interest clubs, sports, language and art classes. Some classes may be restricted by age and minimum/maximum number of students.

Clubs run on a term basis, and all students are given the opportunity to sign up at the beginning of each term. The cost of clubs is determined by club leaders and full payment for a club must be made at the beginning of the term. There are limited spaces for each club, and priority for places is given to those who confirm first by completing all payments.

In order to encourage commitment to clubs, students cannot switch from one club to another during the first half of the term. After that time, switching between clubs is at the discretion of the club leaders and is dependent on the availability of places. There are no refunds available for parents who wish to withdraw their child from a club, but, if unforeseen circumstances mean club sessions are cancelled, refunds will be organised by the accounting team. Any parents or outside specialists wishing to offer an after-school club will be given the opportunity to do so before students sign up. Depending on the circumstances of the prospective club leader, there may be subsidiary information which they will need to provide to the HR department. More about after-school clubs can be seen by visiting the After-School Clubs Site or scanning the QR code.
