Campaigns and Activities

Oche has just joined ONE IN UK global activist programme, and so far, has participated in the discourse around the In donor refugee spending, and attended a few high level meetings. In the past, he volunteered with the Youth With  A Difference organisation supporting fundraising, advoccaies and outreach programmes to the Internally Displaced Camps in Benue, Nigeria.

Why Volunteer with ONE

ONE is an outstanding charity organization, focused on preventing poverty and promoting health. These goals align with my passion for tackling public health problems and poverty alleviation. My experience growing up in a resource-limited community, made me appreciate the devastating impact of hunger and food crises on human health and well-being. This has spurred me to engage in volunteering efforts with non-governmental organizations (NGOs) such as Youth With A Difference (YOWAD), in raising awareness and funds, to visit internally displaced peoples (IDP) camp in Makurdi, Benue State Nigeria. This experience helped to consolidate my interest in the welfare of people. Campaigning at ONE in the UK will give me a rare opportunity to develop my volunteering and leadership skills, in line with my passion.
