Trained Spy and nurse
Born in Doornik Belgium Gabrielle Petit was an orphan from a very young age. When the first world war broke out she volunteered at The Red Cross Organisation. When her husband got injured at the front line they fled to England. In London she followed lessons about nursing until she was recruited by the English to be a spy. She trained to be a spy and was sent to the railway back in Belgium where she spied on the Germans. Her job was to spill important information to the allied forces. Information which included movement of troops and materials. This way the allied forces could figure out when the next attack was planned. Gabrielle did her work with mounts of enthusiasm and purpose because of this she was willing to take a lot and great risks. In the end this was the reason for her execution. Even in prison she refused to spill any information.
