Matthew Pigg started teaching during the second year of the Teach for America program. After teaching in Houston, Los Angeles and Davis, California, Matthew began working in Teacher Professional development for the University of California. Combining his work as a teacher and experience as a programmer, Matthew developed web-based applications for teacher training and professional development programs for veteran teachers. Matthew has a BA from UC Berkeley and an MA in Education from Cal State University. In addition to teaching at OES, Matthew enjoys riding his bike(s), cooking, hiking, traveling and writing code that solves real and not-so-real problems.
