I’ve been an educator both in the U.S. and abroad since graduating from Princeton University with an AB in History and American Studies and Lehigh University with a masters in Educational Leadership. I have taught history and English in private day and boarding schools in the U.S., including The Baylor School in Chattanooga, Tennessee; The Peddie School (my alma mater) in Hightstown, New Jersey; and Kent Denver School in Englewood, Colorado. While at Kent Denver, I served as the history department chair for eight years and was also a dean of students. I’ve also had extensive experience working and living overseas, first as a Peace Corps volunteer in Slovakia (1991-93), as an IB teacher and assistant principal at the American International School in Guangzhou, China (2010-16), and finally as a middle school principal at Brent International School Manila, Philippines (2016-19). I’m married to OES Upper School science teacher Robin O’Hara, and we have three daughters in the OES Upper School.
