Shocking Science!

Hands-on learning is a huge part of the learning process at Churchill. Here's one such example from 2019 .... click through for some great photos!!!!:

Stacey, Owen and Heather’s Grade 6 students had a shocking experience. They explored, in a hands-on way, the science (electricity) curriculum by creating their own electrical devices.

“It was really cool being able to make my own circuits. I found out that atoms have a lot more to do with electricity than I thought. I would like to keep on learning about atoms’ relationship with electricity.”

Inquiry, problem-solving, writings skills, and developing a love of learning… this shocking experience had it all.
