Math Freaks Come Out
at Night!
Churchill’s annual Math Freaks Come Out at Night event is always a huge success.
Hosted by Ray's class, Churchill families get to explore the excitement of MATH!
There are a number hands-on Halowe'en-focused math activities that families can travel around to and try. They include the Little Shop of Horrors, Terrible Trivia, Franken Face Building, Pumpkin Pattern Blocks, Zombie Number Line Race, and many more activities.
Families also carve their pumpkins at the Math-O-Lanterns site after estimating and then measuring the pumpkins’ height, circumference, seed content, weight, and many other features.
It's a great way to play with many different math concepts and work cooperatively as a family. Plus the whole event is just buzzing with amazing energy!
Thanks to Ray and his amazing team of students and parents.
