Website Policies
The following policies are the guidelines that this website operates under.
Citations are mandatory! If any sourcebooks are referenced, footnotes should be included to the page number and title of book.
Articles should either be written in a non-biased/academic voice or in a very strongly biased unreliable voice, so that the inherent bias to the facts presented by the narrator would be called reasonably suspect by any random reader.
This allows for faction-specific articles and biases to be presented, maintaining the inherent inconsistencies in WoD and SA.
Most, if not all, information should be presented in a straight-forward, reference manner. To deviate from this, a contributor must have permission from the Head of Tech.
All articles must go through the editing process and be approved by the Head of Tech and any other Heads of Staff where the article intersects with the duties of another team.
All articles are subject to updates and edits as time passes and the game evolves. These edits can be requested by any Shadow Accord staff member.
Edits requested by staff will be made within an appropriate time frame by Tech (e.g., 48 hours from acknowledgement of request).
Edits may be suggested by the players and greater community, but these edits will be made at the discretion of Tech.
When pages are made and updated on the Website, the footer should be updated with the author, editor (if applicable), and date updated.
Any information that may be meta-game sensitive must always be clearly marked with what Lore is required to be on a character’s character sheet in order for that character to know such information in-game. This information, if possible, will be hidden by default, through either hyperlink or collapsible text boxes. Keeping this information hidden will serve to maintain the element of mystery and FOIG experience inherent in SA.
Meta-game-sensitive information is any information about a faction or subfaction that could offer a player an unfair advantage in terms of social interaction, plot, or mechanics over a member of that faction or subfaction. These include rarely known facts, secrets, or weaknesses.
To attain this information legally in-game, a character must purchase the Lore of that faction or subfaction at character creation.
Tech is not required to publicize any article/post on the website or to preemptively share what will be included.
Once content is published, if they have any questions or concerns about, players are requested to contact Tech through the team email.
As long as content is approved by the staff team(s) that the content pertains to, it will count as having been approved by NW LARPers as a whole.
