Practice these drills with your students and have them become familiar with the language
All specialist teachers, MLL, SPED, Improvement teachers, SEL, WIN groups... practice drills with your groups of students so that in the event of a real emergency or drill during your time-students will know what to do
PLEASE READ THIS CAREFULLY AND REACH OUT WITH ANY QUESTIONS
Every student in grades K-5 needs to go home with a letter on Wednesday 2/28/24
Grades K-3 students- Require a signature and must be returned (the running man DIBELS report needs to be attached)
Grades 4-5 students- Do Not require a signature. These students will be invited but not required to attend Summer Academy. ALL 4TH AND 5TH GRADERS GET THE SAME LETTER SO NO NAMES ARE ON THEM...CLASSROOM TEACHERS CAN WRITE STUDENT'S NAMES ON TOP IF YOU WOULD LIKE
Teachers: Check the folders that will be put in your mailboxes on Friday 2/16/24.
Ensure: 1. You have one for every student in your class and for K-3, that it is the correct letter.
2. Once it is returned check to see if it is signed and check their name off on your class list.
The 4th and 5th-grade letters don't require a signature because students will be invited but not required to go to Summer Academy.
Classroom teachers and Specialist teachers it is extremely important to include any student in your classroom's safety plan, behavior plan or specfic student information with your sub plans
Have a plan in advance. Have all documents (student saftey plan, behavior plans...) in a folder. Then on a day when you call out sick, have that folder with your sub plans
We have had several behavior incidents the last few weeks which could have been avoided if these documents were provided for the sub./coverage
Classroom teachers please complete DESSA asap we are 91% complete a few students are missing
Grades K-3 teachers send home the "Running Man" DIBELS report with Summer Academy letters on Wednesday 2/28/24 **** These are to be attached to the back of Summer Academy Letters.
Please reach out if you need help printing these reports.
