Leadworthy Students Say Thank You For Socktober Donations

Final Socktober Tally: 530 Pairs of Socks

Leadworthy Socktober Donations Far Surpassed their Original Goal of 125 Socks and Led the Student Body to Gather 530 Pairs!

Donations for Veterans

From now until Thanksgiving break, the school is collecting items for Patriot House Transitional Housing for Veterans in Fort Worth. Drop offs outside the library (remote learners: front office).

The grade levels are challenged to see who can bring the most individual items, earning a Pajama Pants Day for their grade.

  • December 18: Early Release, End of the Quarter and Semester, All Remote Edgenuity Student Work is due by 1 pm.

School Supplies Donations

As many students transitioned from remote learning to in-person learning, are there school supplies at home that could be donated to teachers' classrooms?

Feel free to send items with your student to advisory classes. We will share with the grade level teams to put them to good use!

Suggestions:

  • pencils, pens, highlighters

  • markers, colored pencils

  • composition notebooks

  • art sketchbooks

  • dry erase markers or Sharpie pens

Update to NISD Middle School Arrival and Dismissal Procedures

Inclement Weather Days

8:00 AM - Doors will be open for students to meet in the cafeteria when the weather meets the following criteria:

  • 40 degrees or below and/or precipitation (similar to UIL guidelines for practicing/rehearsing outdoors)

On school property, please maintain your distance and wear your mask.


Non-inclement Weather Days

8:20 AM - Campus opens and buses may unload to enter the building. Staff is available for the supervision of students.

4:15 PM - Students must exit campus unless involved with campus activity.

Absences due to Illness

The district and campus continue to utilize text messaging as a way to communicate with families and staff about important dates and events. If you have not received any NISD texts, opt in and receive messages by texting Y to 67587.
