february 14 - 28

Students need to have access to their chromebooks, chargers, and instruments at home all next week.

Monday, February 15: School Holiday (already on the calendar)

What happens if there is bad weather next week, after Monday?

If we have one day of bad weather (as determined by NISD), it will be considered a traditional "snow day". If we have more than one day of bad weather, we will move into asynchronous learning for the second day and beyond, as needed. Students would then access their work from their chromebook or device.

We did announce this to students today on campus as a reminder to take home all items they may need for next week.

Northwest ISD will send notification of any adjustments to the school schedule via their usual platforms (email, phone, text, social media, etc.)

Many middle school families seek guidance and support for appropriate use of technology. Join NISD Director of Technology Jason Sanders next Tuesday evening (2/16) via Zoom for this Parenting Workshop.

Opportunity to Change Student's Learning Preference for 4th Grading Period

Families wanting to change their students' learning location (In-Person Learning or Remote Learning) for the fourth grading period must complete a new preference form by Feb. 29. The fourth quarter begins March 24, 2021.

UPDATE: EXTENDED THROUGH 2/26

Students have brought over 150 items and donated $125 so far! Thank you!

We are working to help our community AND have bragging rights over Adams MS for the third year in a row if we have the most items and donations.

We think we can get to 300 items or $300 dollars by the close of next week.

How can you and your contacts help us with this goal? www.teamtafb.org/wilsonnjhs

NISD Expo has gone virtual! We want to celebrate the academic growth, innovation, and learning experiences from the past year.

Any student can participate by submitting a short video at https://expo.nisdtx.org now through Feb. 28.
