Students, parents, and caregivers, as we wrap up first semester and the calendar year 2020, the Wilson staff would like to thank you for all of your hard work, flexibility, and perseverance! Through the crisis of the spring campus closures to the uncertainties of the summer to our initial online start in August and now to our daily in-person or remote routines, EACH OF YOU played an important role in an amazing first semester!

There is a place for every Wilson student to shine! We will continue to encourage students to develop their character with our ACE awards and service projects, to be lifelong learners through our academics, and to showcase their talents through collaboration and performances. Thank you for continuing to support our students in all areas!

Speaking of student showcases, volleyball, football, cross country, and tennis all competed well in their new formats this fall. Basketball continues to compete the next two months with opportunities for track and wrestling to come in the spring. Additionally, our performing artists adjusted to new platforms for practice and performance (videos, live streams, living room concerts, etc.), and this month is a HUGE showcase for all of those groups with their Winter Concerts. Check the calendar below for our upcoming athletics events and winter fine arts performances and celebrate your favorite Wildcat!

• Students Return from Winter Break: Beginning of Second Semester (Quarter 3)

Beginning January 6th, 2021 NISD will resume using the automated attendance callout system. This system alerts parent(s)/guardian(s) when a student has been marked absent for a class. Households with long-term remote learners will also receive this call if the student has not participated in all classes before 4:00pm. Remote students’ attendance will be changed the following day if they log on and complete work before midnight.
