Week ending

Friday 19th April, 2024

Happy Friday!

A very warm welcome back! The children seemed to have grown over the half term, just like our caterpillar! It has been so wonderful hearing all the expressive language from the children, who have been passionately sharing their holiday experiences! Please feel free to email photos so we can share them with the class to support the children when sharing their news.

This week we have been learning all about Holi the Hindu festival of colours through our curious question 'What is Holi?' To help answer that question we have been designers; making our own Rangoli patterns, architects; building Hindu temples, writers; mark making our names and making colourful hand prints as well as scientists conducting our own colour experiments with milk, food colouring and washing up liquid! Finally we have been lepidopterists studying the butterfly before we released it into our garden!  We have also begun to support our children who are transitioning to Reception to explore the big playground! It's so great to see their motor skills flourishing and such growing confidence.

Wishing you a lovely weekend,

Best wishes,

The Nursery Team

BABY PHOTO REQUEST!

Please bring in baby photos over the week so the children develop a personal understanding of the human life cycle and how they have grown over time. We will photocopy the photos and return the originals.

Thank you for your continued support!
