Week ending

Friday 23rd February, 2024

Dear Families,

It has been delightful to see all of the children again after the half term break. We have been exploring a new topic about contrasting countries, focusing on The Amazon Rainforest. We explored the curious question, 'What is a rainforest?" and the children enjoyed seeing it on Google Earth. They have been introduced to watercolour paints and have created some fantastic artwork of trees and rainforest animals. They have also begun their diorama projects by collaboratively painting boxes in various shades of green, ready to embellish with trees and animals throughout the topic. The children also enjoyed making fruit kebabs, following a pattern of banana/orange/banana/orange - and they told us how delicious they were!

Finally, we really enjoyed seeing so many families today for Family Friday. The children take a lot of pride and joy in showing off their provision.

Wishing you a lovely weekend,

Best wishes,

The Nursery Team
