Week ending

Friday 22nd March, 2024

Hello families!

This week our curious question has been 'Do all animals look like their parents?' to which the children can now answer.... no! We've answered this by exploring the life cycle of a butterfly and by welcoming our own baby caterpillars to the Nursery! The children have spent time using the key words 'change', 'baby', 'parent' and 'young' and can use these words when describing life cycles. The children have been creating paper chain caterpillars and using last week's key text The Hungry Caterpillar to draw fruits and consolidate their counting skills to 5. Now that the weather is improving, the children have spent a lot more time outside and have embarked on some learning about road safety with a Hackney road safety team. Now the children all know the rules of 'Stop! Look! Listen! Think!' as well as the importance of holding the hand of their adult when crossing the road. Finally, once again it has been so lovely to see so many families at Family Friday.

REMINDER: School closes on Thursday 28th March at 2pm.

Wishing you a lovely weekend,

Best wishes,

The Nursery Team
