Week ending
Friday 1st December, 2023
Dear Families,
We have continued our 'Occupations' topic exploring 'who helps us feel better?' The children have really enjoyed discussing different occupations, in particular role playing firefighters rescuing people, drawing and painting flames. We've learned about the role of a firefighter and what their day may be like.
The children continued to role play with our traditional fairy tale 'Little Red Riding Hood', by retelling the story using masks, mark making menus and independently making cheese and cucumber sandwiches.
We are still looking at the number 3 and exploring it in different forms (numbers, objects). The formation rhyme is attached below. Our shape of the week is a triangle and we have been using various resources to make triangles of our own!
If your child turns 4 between September 1st 2023 and August 31st 2024 and you require any assistance applying for a Reception place next year, please speak to the Nursery team or the school reception, for further details.
Wishing you a wonderful weekend.
Best wishes,
The Nursery Team
