Week ending

Friday 24th November, 2023

Dear Families,

We've begun our 'Occupations' topic with such excitement! The children have really enjoyed taking on different roles, in particular using their doctor skills to take care of the teddy bears and the baby dolls. We've learned about the role of a doctor and what their day may be like, and have been creating our own stethoscopes and drawing 'x-rays' of our hands.

After reading our traditional fairy tale 'Little Red Riding Hood', we made sandwiches for our picnic basket to take to 'Grandma's house', just like Little Red Riding Hood did!

Our number of the week is 3. Have a look around and see what you can find 3 of! We've been exploring it in different forms (numbers, objects). The formation rhyme is attached below. Our shape of the week is a triangle - again, see how many triangles you can spot when you're out and about!

Once again, it was so lovely to see so many of you at our Family Reading Friday (this is always the final Friday of the month). Next week, there will be a parent workshop to support families with Receptions admissions procedures, for any children who turn 4 between September 1st 2023 and August 31st 2024. Please ask the school reception for further details.

Wishing you a wonderful weekend.

Best wishes,

The Nursery Team
