These curricula are self-contained and a good reference. Educators may be able to use them as-is or with minor modifications.
Providing lesson plans for PE has some unique constraints. Typically, a PE teacher works with multiple grades throughout the day. To differentiate the orienteering lessons between grades, while avoiding having to change the set-up from one class to another, we design graduated exercises that use the same set of checkpoints. To create challenge and variety, we change the checkpoint locations from one year to the next.
