Navigation Games uses cone toppers to hold SI boxes on traffic cones for indoor and outdoor use.
To make cone toppers, cut up a wooden dowel into 3-inch lengths. Use a hard wood like oak or maple instead of pine for the dowels, so that the screws will hold better in the end grain. Make sure that the dowel's diameter fits snugly but without difficulty into the top of your cones.
Then, screw the SI box holders into the dowels. You can get black SI box holders from sportident.us. (They have a new website that does not show all their offerings, but you can contact them with this request.)
Navigation Games can manufacture the cone toppers for you if you like; contact us for a quote.
