Camp Belknap made an orienteering map through Orienteering USA's Youth Mapping Project (YMP). This program connects youth-serving organizations with cartographers; the cartographer works from remote data (LIDAR and aerial photography) and collaborates with someone from the camp who provides on-the-ground feedback.
Navigation Games developed an orienteering curriculum to meet the camp's needs; the result is laid out below. We also have slide decks and recordings from the design meetings that were held with the camp program director. We hope this will serve as a good model for camps throughout the USA.
