Tips for Abstract Approval Success - Headquarters Abstract Review Process
Abstracts take an average 10 business days to process at Headquarters.
Establish open communication with the HQ Partnership Office and other HQ offices
Answer all the sections and don't leave sections blank
Spell out all acronyms the first time
Avoid redundant and miscellaneous information
Have a clear and concise justification for Competition with the Private Sector
Secure HQ support from the responsible technical organization prior to submission (particularly if the partnership is non-reimbursable and requires resources from a Mission Directorate)
If the proposed activity involves work assigned under the Agency's Operating Model related Capability Leadership, identify whether coordination with the Capability Leader has been done
Describe the alignment with the NASA Mission, not just the Center's Mission and Goals
Both Center and Headquarters offices initiating new agreements are subject to the abstract review process.
Unclassified abstracts are submitted through the Partnership Agreement Maker (PAM).
