Policy for Real Estate Management

This directive provides NASA real property managers with a common set of requirements and uniform, orderly processes for meeting NASA’s real property requirements. This directive provides roles, responsibilities, and relationships of key NASA personnel tasked with acquiring, managing, and disposing of real estate assets on NASA’s behalf.

NPD for Equipment Management establishes agency policy for the control, management, acquisition, disposal and loaning of property, plant and equipment.
NASA Equipment Management Procedural Requirements
This NASA Procedural Requirements (NPR) augments NPD 4200.1. It contains equipment accountability requirements and procedures for acquisition, identification, management of equipment held by NASA.
NASA Personal Property Disposal Policy
This NPD addresses the disposition of NASA-Owned-NASA-Held personal property that is no longer needed for its original acquisition intent or is excess to NASA’s needs will be disposed of in a prompt manner that minimizes continued care and handling costs and maximizes reutilization while maximizing sales proceeds.
