- Need to be attentive to the experience of the space and what makes for a good learning/teaching environment (Lighting, technology, seating) not just the numbers
- SEIs seem to have space as an after thought --
- Create dynamic spaces that engage users in the space
- The plan needs to be a compelling offer a big picture vision with direction
- What does it mean to be “the best undergraduate institution”?
- Address key questions such as where does MRU fit in terms of formal and open education
- Focus on developing a reputation that will help with retention
- Get a good education and/or get a job
- Emphasize what make MRU special
- How does MRU engage learners in unique learning experiences?
- Get a good education and/or get a job
- Be sure to focus on sustainability of people, learners
- Mental health must support faculty in dealing with this aspect of student life
- What qualifies as research must be broad, not just traditionally defined
- Internationalization—think about how we can learn from others—teleconferencing, exchanges
