Must have policies in place; need a co-curricular record and to take into account missing pieces including volunteer work and First Nations

Plan how to tackle the lack of diversity at all levels of the university (department, Faculty, administration) provide an institutional meaning for ‘diversity”
Undergraduate Research—needs to have funding and resources; time for faculty to engage; should include case competitions etc; become an important attraction to students
Any talk of a 2-2 course load?
Need to think about contract faculty at MRU — many just get by; how do we help them flourish; impact on service workload for full-time faculty who must do the work; consider alternative solutions such as markers
We should be in McLean’s rankings
·Need to tell our story better nationally and internationally and need top line communications to get it out
MRU needs to be a leader in education; must find a way to give MRU a voice provincially
Plan should include a vision of how to deal with crises and how to build confidence and heal after unpleasant events happen
Stop competition inside the institution; clear obstacles to collaboration
Take advantage of urban dynamic city to build a dynamic university
Good ideas need money; how will sustainability be part of the plan; need to be realistic about budget
Small class sizes seem to be valued—be more assertive about how small classes help students
