FCA stands for Fellowship of Christian Athletes. This club is held every Friday in the Ed center. Every week, there is a consistent and amazing turnout of attendance. There is always something to do or talk about at these meetings and is never a boring time. Everyone walks into the room with open minds and is ready to learn and listen to what the leaders or whatever the speaker of the day has to share. Speaking of leaders, FCA has a great lineup this year.
Representing the sophomores we have Bella Sanabria-Cora. Bella is a very funny and bubbly person to be around. She always makes the meetings into a fun and comfortable space for everyone. But when needed, Bella can get professional especially while leading in prayer. Also representing the sophomores, we have Ben Harrison. Ben is a very fun person to be around and he enjoys being at the FCA meetings and is always trying to get others to enjoy and go to as many meetings as possible. Ben is a great person to talk to and is very understanding of others.
Another sophomore is Syreena Neuhalfen. Syreena is a very funny and outgoing student-athlete. She is always ready for the meetings and she is there to light up the room with her presence. And lastly, we have Payton Fraser who is an astounding student-athlete. She is strong and very kind-hearted, and will always be there to listen to you if you want to share your thoughts. For the juniors, we have Ella Festerling who is a strong believer and whose only goal at these meetings is that you come in with an open mind and are ready to hear what she has to share, and in hopes you leave as a stronger individual. Ella is possibly the best “hype man” of FCA and will never fail to make you smile or let out a laugh. For seniors, we have Bella Mead. Bella does a great job of juggling being an excellent student and a great athlete. Just like our other leaders Bella is a strong believer. Bella’s dad is a guest speaker most of the time at these meetings and they both do such a good job at sharing their stories or talking about the Bible.
To follow that, there is always pizza provided, and an open space to make a prayer or share thoughts. After reading all of this, you should have a good idea of what FCA is all about and what it has to offer. Remember, you don’t need to be an athlete or a Christian to join. FCA is all open arms and very welcoming to whoever walks through those doors.
