Girls Basketball

For this article, we interviewed some of the people on the JV Girls Basketball team.

1. How do you think your team will do this season?

“ I think we’ll do pretty well, everyone on the team is doing good and we have all improved a lot.”

2. What is your favorite thing about playing on the team?

“Probably getting to know everyone else and improve my playing.”

3. How have you improved this year?

“My shots are more accurate now and I’ve been getting better at defense”

4. How do you prepare mentally before a game?

“I just hope for the best and try to focus on what I’m doing so I don’t mess up.”

5. What made you want to play basketball in the first place?

“I’ve been playing since I was a kid, I think what made me want to start is just watching it on TV and thinking that I wanted to play too.”

6. What is the best piece of advice you’ve received to improve your playing? 

“Maybe to not focus on anyone but myself and to just keep going.”

7. What is your favorite memory from playing?

“Playing with my dad when I was younger and winning my first game.”

8. Who is your favorite basketball player?

“It’s kind of basic but probably Steph Curry. He’s one of the people that made me wanna start playing in the first place.”

9. What is the most difficult part about playing a game?

“Trying not to mess up and not get frustrated when the other team is doing better.”

10. Who has influenced your playing the most?

“My coaches who have helped me get better and my favorite basketball players that inspired me.”
