Fall Sports Wrap

This fall has had Moorpark High School fans on their feet and cheering for our fall sports. Here are some of our top sports with an outstanding performance this fall!

Boys and Girls Cross Country:

Our boys and girls Cross Country teams have had an amazing season! The two teams had an amazing season which led them to make the CIF playoffs! First round of CIF Girls placed 6th at CIF prelims which advanced the two individuals to CIF finals, sophomores Jenny Murry (19:34) and Caylie Wight (19:19)! For boys cross country, senior Hunter Lee was the lead runner at CIF finals and our boys cross country team placed 11th overall!

Football

Football at Moorpark High School had a great season this fall. Making it to the first round of the playoffs and ended with 2nd place in the channel league. The team ended up with the loss in their first playoff game against Foothill (Santa Ana) 28-30. Overall the Musketeers had a great season with great players, great fans, and a great student section! The overall record for the Musketeers was 8-3 and league was 4-1. Great job Musketeers! 

The Musketeers had a great fall season. We are also proud of our Girls Flag Football team, Girls Golf, Boys Water Polo, and Girls Tennis! In fact, Cookie Young, a Junior tennis player at Moorpark High School, achieved first team all league! These athletes have worked so hard to get to where we are now. Our winter sports have now started such as Girls and Boys Basketball, Boys Wrestling, Girls Water Polo, Boys Baseball winter league, and Boys and Girls Soccer around the corner. We can’t wait to see what our winter sports compete this season. It’s a great day to be a Musketeer!
