The Winter Sports for girls and boys have been such exciting events to watch. With girls basketball, boys basketball, boys soccer, girls soccer, and so much more! Here is some catching up on the winter sports.
Girls Basketball:
Our girls basketball has been on a comeback from last year's season. The girls have had outstanding performances with their record of (7-2). Freshman Maya Urteaga has helped lead the girls to these victories with averaging 30 points each game. Junior Samantha Olivas has also helped the girls to their wins. The girls recently won their away game at Calabasas High school 59-45 where Urteaga dropped 30 points, 4 rebounds and 4 steals. Olivas had 7 points and 6 rebounds. The girls next game will be away at Oak Park high school. Good job ladies!
Boys Basketball:
Our boys basketball has had some good competition the past few games which include schools Westlake High School, Pacifica High School, Heritage Christian, and other schools with great competition. With this competition the team is holding a record of 5-3. They recently played Westlake High School but fell 81-52. Sophomore Levi Oaks had 18 points and 4 rebounds helping the musketeers leading up to their score. Sophomore Tyson Howarth had 14 points and 5 rebounds, and Freshman Logan Stotts had 7 points and 4 rebounds. Boys basketball's next game is at home against the Oak Park Eagles. Good Luck!.
Girls Soccer:
Your girls Varsity soccer is undefeated! They recently won their game 1-0 against the Lancers from Thousand Oaks High School. Sophomore Bella Sanabria Cora scored the goal that led the Musketeers to their win! Nice Job Bella! The girls soccer team also had a great game against Rio Mesa High School on December 5th. Sophomore Payton Fraser and Junior Sadie Zapata scored the goals which led the girls to their game 2-0 against the Spartans! The girls next game is against the wolves from Harvard Westlake High School out in Studio City. Good luck, girls!
Our Winter Sports have done such a great job so far this season. We wish them the best luck for the rest of the regular season and hopefully make it to the postseason for playoffs! It’s a good day to be a Musketeer!
