Girls Soccer

The Moorpark High School Girls Soccer program has had a very strong start to preseason. The team consists of 29 players spanning from freshmen to seniors. With coach Michael Alexander, the team expects to win the Coastal Canyon league and go far into playoffs. The girls are currently 4-0 and have beaten Buena in a scrimmage (score of 4-1), Newbury Park (score of 1-0), Rio Mesa (score of 2-0), Westlake (score of 2-0), and Thousand Oaks (score of 1-0). The team knows how to win, with winning both State and CIF titles in 2018 and 2023. Captains Ella Navarrete (Sr.), Zaina Barakat (Sr.), Becca Hernandez (Jr.) and Linnea Peltonen (Jr.) hope to lead the team to another victory since they were all on the 2023 team.
