There is so much that goes on behind the scenes of all the wonderful events that are put on at Moorpark High School. ASB works hard all throughout the year to put on events like Homecoming, lunchtime activities, rallies, and so many other enjoyments.
ASB is split up into four categories: Technology & Publicity, Events & Outreach, Administration & Coordination, and Marketing & Fundraising (T.E.A.M.). ASB has these cohorts to effectively get things done and to make sure everyone in the class has a job they understand to get done. However, it also allows anyone to contribute, as in, if there is an idea, anyone is welcome to share it or help out in any way possible.

Technology & Publicity (Tek)
Sienna Newbill is the person overseeing the Technology & Publicity wing, along with being the Vice President of ASB. This branch takes care of the social media platforms like Instagram (@moorparkhighasb & @moorpark_madhouse), TikTok (@moorparkasb), and the website online. Alongside those platforms, the segment “Gary on the Street” is also featured on Musketeer Mornings, broadcasted during the third period.
Events & Outreach
This category of the class is one of the most populated. It is overseen by Payton Holliday, the secretary of ASB. In this cohort, those involved are in charge of planning and organizing school events, rallies, dances, and other fun student activities. Rallies are overseen by Lexi Satterwhite and Jayme Jirele, planning and writing the scripts, making sure that the rallies are an amazing experience for the entirety of the school. Also falling under this category is Madhouse. The leaders, Catherine, Kyle, Gary, and Keegan all work hard to keep the school spirit up at different school events, consistently the rallies and football games.
Administration & Coordination
This branch is in charge of the logistical aspects of ASB, also coordinating with the school administration, handling paperwork for rallies and activities, and guaranteeing deference with school policies. Madeline May, the ASB President, is in charge of these responsibilities. She handles organizing the things that need to be done in class and working closely with Mrs. McMurry-Brooks. She, and the other cabinet members, attend the MUSD Board Meetings to contribute ideas and listen in.
Marketing & Fundraising
Lily Winters is in charge of this part of ASB and is also the Treasurer. Under this branch falls the promoting of school events, poster and flyer design, managing advertising campaigns, and thinking of innovative ways to improve school culture. Kaitlyn Craft oversees the Student Store and ensures that it is run smoothly. She is working there almost every day, which helps the smooth running and the enjoyment of the students coming in and out. Furthermore, Marketing takes care of apparel, like designs, ordering, and inventory. Finally, one of the most impressive parts of this branch is the incredible posters that adorn the school and gym, significantly during rallies and sports games.
These different cohorts of the ASB classroom ensure that everything runs smoothly and everyone has a job to do, even if it may not be in their usual branch. Anyone in the class is available to help in any way possible. Everyone contributing and working together is a big part of the reason why the events and rallies have been such a spectacle for the school!
