While these stats are impressive, we at Moorpark see the real MVPs as the roster of Musketeer players who fought hard all season long. Out of these players, the one who stood out during the playoff game was Luke Eldridge, the Musketeer quarterback, who had 195 passing yards, 2 touchdown passes, 65 rushing yards, and 1 rushing touchdown. Another star of the night was the Musketeer’s running back Wyatt Davidson, who had 1 rushing touchdown and 95 rushing yards. Leading the team in receiving were Tyler Huisenga and C. Cronquist, Huisenga with 55 yards and two touchdowns and Cronquist with 67 yards. While it may not be as flashy, defense is just as important as offense. The Musketeer’s defense was led by Gerrit Gray, Adam Rodriguez, Noah Salgado, and Wyatt Kerr.
Though this was an unfortunate ending to a hopeful season, this only sets Moorpark up for success next year. The Musketeers will be back on the field, striving to improve their craft, in order to find success next season. Next year will be sure to lead Moorpark to success. Go Musketeers!
