Reagan Community,
Our school team has been collecting many forms of student data to ensure each child receives the classroom support needed. These student resources include MAP data, text leveling, common formative assessments, and classroom observation.
We hope you have a wonderful Labor Day weekend. We look forward to seeing your child again on Wednesday, September 6th.

🍝 Lunch Menu and Visitors 🍔
We are so excited to welcome parents in for lunch! Thank you again to the whole community for allowing students to get settled with lunchroom routines, procedures, and expectations during the first couple weeks of school.
If you would like to visit your child for lunch, you will follow typical check-in procedures in the office. Please be prepared to show your ID and get a visitor's badge. You and your child will then be able to eat at the tables in front of the office.

MPS HAL Identification Procedures Update
Why update?
In alignment with the MPS HAL Program Plan Update 2022, Millard Public Schools recently partnered in an Optimal Identification Javits Grant. The research indicates we are missing HAL learners using our previous procedures. In order to increase identification sensitivity, we will CogAT test more students in order to cast a wider net, more accurately identifying HAL learners.
The following MPS HAL Identification Procedure changes will begin in 2023-24:
Revise the screening phase threshold from the 90%tile to the 80%tile using *MPS RIT Cut Scores
Two current MAP RIT scores will be averaged for each student
SIGS will be used in the identification phase only
Previous standards for HAL qualification will not change
*MPS RIT Cut Scores For the 80%tile are a more accurate representation of the 80%tile national norm
while accounting for instructional weeks in MPS.
All recommended changes are as a participant in the Optimal Identification Javits Grant work with Dr. Scott Peters, Dr. Tamra Stambaugh, Dr. Matt McBee, & Dr. Betsy McCoach- July 2022
