A Message from Mrs. Wunderlich & Reagan Staff
Reagan Families,
As a reminder, the information below was included in last week's Regal Eagle. Please continue to adhere to these guidelines.
Arrival - The District Parent/Student Handbook states, “Students who start school at 8:30 a.m. should not be on campus earlier than 8:15 a.m.” There is no supervision outside before 8:15. Please be mindful of the time and your drop-off. Students will enter the building at 8:15 a.m.
Animals on campus - Our District Handbook states, “Due to the danger of students being bitten by pets or pet allergies, the schools discourage the practice of bringing pets to school. The schools cannot assume responsibility for accidents. Please be informed that the Millard Public Schools’ insurance coverage does not include liability if an animal is brought onto school grounds and would harm or injure a child or adult. In case of such an incident, the pet owner is personally liable for any damages or lawsuit. The Humane Society will be called when stray or unleashed animals are on school grounds during school hours.” All animals must be leashed when on school property. We ask you not to allow students to pet your animal/s without the supervision of their parent.
Dress Code Guidelines - We recognize that styles do change; however, if clothing or grooming disrupts the educational process, it will not be permitted at school. An individual’s clothing and grooming directly affect behavior and how others react. Dress should be suitable for classroom and school activities. Students may be asked to change clothes for a more appropriate school look. We have extra clothing items in our health room for when needed. Some general guidelines for dress code are as follows:
Shorts should be of appropriate length.
Shirt straps must be at least 1” wide or have a shirt over camisole tops.
No bare backs or exposed midsections.
No inappropriate sayings on clothing.
No hats or hoods can be worn inside.
Tennis shoes must be worn on physical education days and all Wednesdays.
Wheeled shoes are not permitted in the school building.
We caution students about wearing flip-flops due to playground injuries.
Face/Body/Hair Paint
Bikes and Scooters - Students can ride bikes and scooters to school but cannot ride them on school property. Children should walk bikes and scooters on sidewalks approaching the school and place them in the provided racks. All bikes and scooters should be locked, and helmets are strongly encouraged. The school is not responsible for missing or damaged bikes or scooters. Parents are encouraged to exercise caution when determining the appropriate age for riding a bike or scooter to school.
Thank you for your attention to these items so we can continue to have a safe and positive learning environment these last 4 weeks of school.

All student iPads will be sent home with students on the last day of school. This will allow them to access IXL, Sora and other educational apps over the summer. Please email Mrs. Wunderlich at blwunderlich@mpsomaha.org, if you prefer for your child's iPad to be kept at school over the summer.
