Teacher assignments are based on many factors, including academic needs, a blending of students, and gender balance. This work is done as a large team during the early spring of the prior year. Following these considerations, placement is assigned. We have great teachers, supportive parents, and wonderful kids. Please know much thought has been given to the placement of each child.

As previously shared, classroom teachers will email families with your child's classroom placement on Friday, August 4th, at 4 PM.

Student Registration

New AND existing Reagan families!

All existing Reagan families must update their student registration information every school year.  If you have not updated your information for the 2023-2024 school year, please click on the link below and complete the Existing Family Registration.

Click the link here for all registration and enrollment information.

Registration must be completed before students start school.  We will not be able to notify you of your child's homeroom teacher until this is completed.

Breakfast & Lunch Accounts

Please click here to view all information regarding Food Services in Millard. You can find My School Bucks (fund your student's meals), meal prices, menus, and free and reduced information. If a family qualifies for free and reduced, it is confidential, and school personnel cannot access the list of eligible students.

Medication

Medication is given at school only when necessary. All unexpired medication (prescription or non-prescription) must be brought to school by an adult in the original container. Do not send medication with a student or in their backpack. A current medication card must be on file in the health room for any medication to be given to students at school.

Open House - Tuesday, August 8 @ 5:30-7:00

We are asking that you plan to attend Open House by following the recommended time slots by the first letter of your child's last name. This is recommended but not required if it does not work in your schedule that evening. These time slots not only help with parking but also allows better opportunities for teachers to welcome their new students and families. We look forward to seeing you!

6:00-6:30 - Families G-O

First Day of School (K-5) - Thursday, August 10

SCHOOL HOURS: 8:30-3:30 - Mon, Tues, Th, Fri

8:30-2:30 - Wednesdays

First Day Only  Arrival Window: 8:10-8:30

Teachers will meet their students outside at 8:10.

See the image for where you can approximately meet your child's teacher. Please plan to say your goodbyes in the car or at the entrance; we will not be screening guests for entry into the building as our focus will be on the students. If you need to drop off medication, you will be guided into the health room.

How Will Your Child Get Home?

Please plan with your child ahead of time. It can be stressful for students when they do not know how they are getting home. After-school plans should be set with your child before the school day starts to alleviate interruptions in the classroom during instruction.

Visiting the Building

We love having visitors and partnering with parents, grandparents, and community volunteers! Please refer to the following district policies as a refresher for the new school year.

Visiting Reagan or Picking Up Early

We put student and staff safety first. We will always follow district policy 5740.1.

Volunteers

We will follow district policy for screening procedures for volunteers in the classroom. This policy applies to all persons who are not district employees, current students, parents, or grandparents of current students.

Parents with Heart Information

2023-2024 Information on the Parents with Heart website will be updated in August!

The Fun Run is our one school fundraiser each year. Be on the lookout for more information in upcoming newsletters.

Fun Run Kick Off - Friday, September 1 (During the school day)

Fun Run Date - Friday, September 15 (During the school day)

Morning Drop Off & Afternoon Pick Up Procedures

Safety is always the most important- it's our #1 rule! We take special care during peak times in the morning and afternoon to ensure everyone's safety. The first few days back at school are always a little more hectic. We will have a lot of staff members outside to assist with traffic flow and safety. We appreciate your patience, cooperation, and respect in advance. Please follow the listed safety guidelines whenever children are dropped off or picked up at school.

Observe all posted signage related to traffic.

Always remain in your car when dropping off/picking up your child(ren) along the curbs. Staff members will be available to assist your children in exiting or entering a vehicle.

Children should exit/enter cars through the curbside door only.

Please observe arrival and dismissal times.

Having your child at school on time is important, as classes start promptly at 8:30.

Dismissal time is also essential as staff members have additional responsibilities at the end of each school day. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday dismissal is at 3:30, and Wednesdays, we dismiss at 2:30.

Please feel free to contact me at any time with questions, celebrations, or concerns. It is the goal of all Reagan staff to provide your child with the best educational experience possible. I look forward to working with you during the 2023-2024 school year.
