Cottonwood Families,

A Huge Thank You

It was fantastic to see all the families who came to the Walk A Thon to support Cottonwood!  We have the best community.  We anticipate this to be a record breaking year as far as donations.  We are still counting the donations and will share the results next week.   We were excited to have the West YMCA and UNO Dance Team to support us. Thank you from the Cottonwood Staff for all your support.  A special thank you to Lindsay Peterson, the Parent Pride Committee chair and the many staff and parents who helped this be a success!

Parent Teacher Conferences

Believe it or not, Parent/Teacher Conferences are in a few weeks. This is a time when you meet directly with your child’s teacher and discuss his/her progress.  Our conferences have been very well attended and we are hoping to continue this tradition. Mark your calendars for these dates.  In a couple of weeks we will be sending out information for sign ups.

Cottonwood’s Conferences will be held on:

          Monday, October 10h  4:15-8:15 pm

          Tuesday, October 11th  4:15-8:15 pm

        Wednesday, October 12th  8:00 am-12:00 pm

There will be no school for students on Wednesday, October 12th through Friday, October 14th.

Parent Pride:

A Parent Volunteer Group

The Parent Pride, a parent volunteer group,  is an integral part of the Cottonwood community.  Each year this group of volunteers help to organize and fund raise for the events and activities that take place at Cottonwood. There are no membership dues so we depend on donations or participation of our fund-raising events.  We hope that you will consider volunteering your time to support one of these events.  Please remember to check our weekly newsletter for other volunteer opportunities.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Gina  Rudloff at 402-715-1390 or gkrudloff@mpsomaha.org.  If you are interested in volunteering, please sign up below.

Thank you

Gina Rudloff

Our Parent Pride would like to create an online directory.  Information such as name, phone number and address are shared.  Parents often find the directory a useful resource for planning such events as playdates and birthdays.  If you do NOT wish for your information to be published, please respond in writing to Mrs. Rudloff (gkrudloff@mpsomaha.org) by September 30th.  After that date, we will begin the process of publishing and distributing it to Cottonwood families.
