Cottonwood Families,

Season of Giving

During the month of December we are focusing on the Season of Giving.  Each grade level is choosing an organization in the community to give back to in some way.  These activities will take place throughout the month.  We will culminate and celebrate our Season of Giving with some fun activities on December 19-20 and host a student assembly on the day before Winter Break to share what each grade level did to give back to the organization they selected.   One of the activities we are going to do is a Book Bingo.  Please read the flyer below for more details.

Cottonwood Night at LaCasa

One of our new business partners is LaCasa Restaurant.  They are hosting a Dine In, Carry Out Curbside Night on December 14th.  Please consider participating.

4th & 5th Band and Orchestra

It may have been cold outside, but our orchestra and band warmed our hearts with wonderful holiday music on Thursday.  The fourth and fifth grade orchestra and band students gave a fantastic performance. A special thank you to Mrs. Hinz, our orchestra teacher, and Mr. Breiter, band teacher for all their preparations.  A special thank you to Mrs. Marble for leading a sing along during the transitions.  We were so excited to have many parents and family guests attend.

Parent Pride:

A Parent Volunteer Group

The Parent Pride, a parent volunteer group,  is an integral part of the Cottonwood community.  Each year this group of volunteers help to organize and fund raise for the events and activities that take place at Cottonwood. There are no membership dues so we depend on donations or participation of our fund-raising events.  We hope that you will consider volunteering your time to support one of these events.  Please remember to check our weekly newsletter for other volunteer opportunities.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Gina  Rudloff at 402-715-1390 or gkrudloff@mpsomaha.org.  If you are interested in volunteering, please sign up below.
