Each year we experience some staffing changes. This year is no exception. I would like to thank those staff members who have served Cottonwood and their students over the years. The following staff members pursuing a new journey for the next school year.
Several staff members are taking on different roles in our building. The details are listed below.
Happy Retirement to Kelly Pugh (Reading/Math Interventionist) Camille Hinz (Orchestra) and Mary Norris, (Library Paraprofessional).
Best wishes to the following for pursuing other opportunities: Tahnee Horn, (Counselor) Karlie Johnson, (5th Grade) and Heather Passey (3rd Grade). Victoria Hasiak (Pyschologist) moving to Wheeler.

Summer Library
I would like to share a great opportunity for students this summer. Cottonwood will be providing summer library this year. Cottonwood students are welcome to visit the library on selected Tuesdays from 9-11. Any students who would like to be a part of a book club, check out books, or participate in activities can also drop in. Please see the flyer in our newsletter for more details.
Class lists and Beginning of the Year Information
Class assignments for students and Beginning of the Year information will be shared on August 1st. Please look for an email on that day. It will come from MPS Notify. Please check your spam as well. Information will be sent to the email account that you used to register. If your email changes over the summer, please update it on Synergy.

Have a Wonderful and Safe Summer!
Thank you to the former Cottonwood students who graduated from high school this year. These graduates visited our 5th graders today and participated with the High Five Pride Walk. We are so proud of you! You have become such great young men and women.
As we wrap up our year, we would like to say a special goodbye to our 5th graders. The Cottonwood staff wishes them well as they begin their middle school years. We are sure they will be very successful. We wish you and your family a safe and wonderful break! We’ll see you in August. A Parent Volunteer Group
Parent Pride Committees
The Parent Pride, a parent volunteer group, is an integral part of the Cottonwood community. Each year this group of volunteers help to organize and fund raise for the events and activities that take place at Cottonwood. There are no membership dues so we depend on donations or participation of our fund-raising events. We hope that you will consider volunteering your time to support one of these events.
