This activity works great after students finish their math work, whether that be with hands-on math materials or paper and pencil.

The photo tool is the most common tool your students will use in Seesaw.
Photos are a great way to capture the hands-on materials used to demonstrate learning.

Explain Your Math

In this activity, students practice drawing on top of a photo while recording their voice.

They will take a photo, use the drawing tools to draw on top of the photo, and explain their thinking with the microphone.

Remote Learning Choice Board #1Today's remote choice board is full of different activities for you to accomplish. Try to do as many as you can. Be sure to show the things you create in your video. 1. :add: Click add. 2. :video: Click the video button. 3. Record a video where you share how you did with today's choice board. How many activities did you accomplish? Which ones did you do? Which was your favorite? Which was difficult? What did you learn? 4. :check: Click the check mark 2 more times when you are done. Congratulations on a great day of learning! Proud of you!

Math - Number Grid 11-601. Tap the :add: button. 2. Tap the :label: tool to move the numbers to the correct spaces. 3. Tap the :mic: to record yourself reading the numbers. 4. Tap the :check: and check your work. 5. Tap the :check: again to add it to your journal.

Place Value: Tens and Ones1. Count the place value blocks. 2. Use :label: or :drawing: to label the number of tens, ones, and the number that is represented with each set of place value blocks. 3. Use :drawing: to circle two sets of place value blocks. 4. Use :rec: to record yourself counting the place value blocks you circled and explaining the number they represent.

Then they circle two examples and record themselves explaining their thinking.

Differentiate with this one for students that are ready to explain hundreds as well.

100 Days on SeeSaw

In the first activity students bring in 100 of an item, organize them to count them and then photo and describe them.
In the second activity students use the SeeSaw wide pen tool to show 100 by marking 10 groups of 10 gumballs.

100 Days of School Activity: 100 Gumballs (digital)1. Press the pencil tool. 2. Select the widest pen width option and click on the check mark. 3. Begin by making dots inside of 10 of the gumballs. 4. Now change colors and dot 10 more. 5. Continue until all 100 have been filled. 6. Press the record and count all 100 of them and then the pause to stop recording. 7. Press the green check mark twice.
