A person is not fully educated until he or she is physically educated. We believe Physical Education (PE) plays a critical role in the students’ physical, mental and social development and growth.
At TJC, the PE programme aims to inculcate in students a life-long commitment to stewardship of the physical self which will positively impact the well-being of self and society.
Our programme provides a holistic education for students through various Sports & Games, Fitness & Conditioning, Outdoor Education, and Physical Health and Fitness (PHF), at beginner and intermediate levels. JC students will be able to go through 5 game modules over the 2 years. We also make provision for JC2 students to select 1 game module which they have not learnt before or would like to deepen their skills in.
College-wide events such as the Games Day and Annual Road Run encourage students to set personal goals and to participate in friendly intra-school competitions in various forms of physical activities. Going beyond conventional PE lessons, our students get to experience exciting sports such as Indoor Skydiving, Wing Chun Self-Defense and Archery Tag in the JC1 Sports Education Programme. Through the programme, we aim to advocate the importance of sports education, encourage sports participation and increase sporting opportunities for the students.
