Campus office clerk will share Watch Dog schedules. Watch Dog schedule will be given out at 7:40 AM. The Watch Dog program will not begin until the 2nd week of October.
Campus office clerk will avoid placing Watch Dog dads with a substitute if at all possible. Grade level teams should communicate to the subs on their team about the available Watch Dog dad bucket/bin.
Watch Dog Dad director will communicate Watch Dog expectations at BOY meeting.
Watch Dog dads will be trained on FERPA laws at BOY Pizza kick off. They will be notified that they are not allowed to take photos or videos of students.
Watch Dog dads will only attend music and art for 15 minutes at a time.
Watch Dog dads will have an area/bookcase in the Learning Commons with activities to work with students. Teachers will be able to sign up students to attend the Watch Dog PlakerSpace or Kindergarten Story time.
Watch Dog dads will have 4th and 5th grade recess time as part of their daily schedule. They will be used to referee/monitor team/competitive sports.
Teachers will create a Watch Dog dad bucket/bin with easy activities and games that can be used with students in the hallway. Examples: (flashcards, sight word practice activities, bingo games, books, board games, math games) The bucket/bin will include a list of names that the Watch Dog dad can work with in the hallway if there should be a sub that day. Information about Watch Dog dad bucket/bin should be included in sub folder.
Teachers should report a Watch Dog dad who is not modeling appropriate behavior or following thier assigned schedule to administration.
