Lesson plans are to be prepared in advance for a one week period, and linked in the following Google Form linked here:
Lesson Plan Hub- Link in McGowen Dashboard
Each team's weekly plans should be accessible in their team Google folder by each Thursday at the EOD. (Friday on weeks that we do not have school on a Monday) Administrators should have access to each teacher's/content plans in the shared Lesson Plan Hub.
Modifications/Accommodations/Positive Behavior Plans should be included in the lesson plans.
It is a legal requirement to provide students with all modifications/accommodations noted in their IEPs/504's. Teachers should be able to provide evidence that document the implementation of modifications and accommodations.
SPED case managers will request behavior progress monitoring or ABC data when needed. This data should be completed and turned in to the SPED case manager according to the case manager's timeline request.
Teachers may request training on how to complete ABC data. Staff can request training on how to complete the data.
Teachers are responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date records (inventory) of student textbooks.
Keep in mind that textbooks are issued based on enrollment numbers, not on class size. For example, if you have 20 students in your class you should only get 20 textbooks, not 22 as in a full class set.
Teachers will be responsible for assessing and collecting fines for lost or damaged textbooks in a timely manner.
Grade level teams may be financially responsible from team budget resources if these fines are not collected. If you need additional textbooks during the year, contact the textbook coordinator.
Information on T-TESS & SLO goal setting, observations/walkthrough has not changed this year. Updates about T-TESS/SLO will be shared in Academy. Additional T-TESS/SLO information will come from the teacher's T-TESS evaluator through email correspondence or conferences.
Teachers should have an individual T-TESS goal aligned to the MISD Model of Instruction (MOI)..
SLO goals can be common across the team.
New teachers will be provided staff development throughout the year to support new learning
ICs are available to provide learning walks, individual support with planning/curriculum/data analysis
