All teachers are expected to maintain a substitute folder on file in their classroom. The digital Substitute folder is linked in our McGowen Dashboard.
This folder should be updated when changes in schedule, seating, student accommodations or behavior charts etc. occur. All “sub folders” should be in place by the end of the second week of school. Please create a QR code that provides a link to your sub folder. Please use the substitute folder template in the McGowen BOY checklist as your guide. Your team leader should know where your QR code is located and the QR code should be visible to a sub. Each folder (hard copy or digital) should contain at least the following items:
Where to locate emergency folder/bag/procedures for lockdown, tornado, fire, etc.
Copy of split schedule in case a substitute cancels or doesn't pick up the job.
Copy of your daily schedule including: locations, lunch, conference, and duties;
