Things are plugging along well with Early College. We have completed Dual Enrollment registration long before FITSE and we think that may be a record for us!! Advisors are using this newfound time to visit high schools weekly to meet with students and counselors so that students can maximize Early College Programs to get an associate's degree or an AGEC by their high school graduation. We are also putting in time at the NAVIT sites to encourage students to continue with NPC after completing their certificates so they can get an associate's for higher job potential.
Our very own Tammy Black has entered the world of adjunct faculty, teaching HDE111 for our high school students. And Josh Jeffery, who previously taught HDE courses is now teaching Comparative World Religion. Congratulations, Tammy and Josh!
The NPC Library had a festive Discovery Nest activity on Monday, December 23, 2024, where participants created Christmas or winter-themed freestanding spinner cards. The cards have a spinning element in the center, but also fold flat for mailing. See the NPC Library February 2025 newsletter for photos of some of those who attended and their finished projects.
