February 2024
Welcome to the first edition of our 2024 newsletter! As spring unfolds, we are buzzing with activity across our diverse departments, all contributing towards our collective mission.
Early College has successfully wrapped up TALON and NAVIT registrations, along with an informative Advisement Day for NAVIT students. The team is enthusiastically organizing a High School Appreciation Day and crafting a robust Strategic Communication Plan.
Instructional Technology and Curriculum Support (ITCS) started with the call for nominations for the 2024 Innovation of the Year Award. The team is also actively calling for participation in the Arizona Regional OER Conference and is hosting a series of enlightening workshops this February. Don't miss the latest curriculum updates, the availability of KahootEDU Pro licenses, and an insightful article about maximizing NPC's Helpdesk for tech solutions, all available in the ITCS news.
Library Services is spotlighting two significant events this month - the International Day of Women and Girls in Science and Read in the Bathtub Day. Join us in celebrating these occasions with a series of engaging library activities and events.
The Office of Accessibility and Inclusion (OAI) is thrilled to introduce a returning team member, Heather Williams. While preparing for relocating to the new office, the OAI team remains focused on its commitment to delivering exceptional services and support.
We are also excited to welcome Amanda Sutter, our new Administrative Assistant to DII and Instructional Council, who joined the division last November. Get to know her better in our “Meet Our Staff” section.
In our role as an academic support division, we are diligently working on the NPC academic calendar for AY2627, in collaboration with various stakeholders. The draft of the calendar, aligning with the Instructional Council's General Guidelines, will be circulated for review later this month.
Here's to a vibrant and productive spring semester!
