October 2025
I am pleased to share that President’s Cabinet has approved the rebranding of the Department of Instructional Technology and Curriculum Support (ITCS) to the Department of Instructional Support. This rebranding more accurately reflects the department’s mission to serve the full spectrum of teaching and learning needs through technology integration, curriculum development, instructional design, and professional development.
As part of the update, the Faculty in Educational Technology position has also been reclassified as Faculty in Instructional Support to align with Division of Instructional Innovation’s focus on holistic, collegewide instructional support. These updates clarify the department’s expanded scope, strengthen its identity as a partner in pedagogy/andragogy and innovation, and reinforce its role as a vital institutional resource supporting teaching and learning excellence.
Please also join me in congratulating Dr. LaTonya Motley, who has transitioned from the Instructional Support Department to the Computer Information Systems (CIS) Department as a full-time CIS faculty member. Dr. Motley has made significant contributions to professional development, instructional technology, and curriculum support during her time as Faculty in Educational Technology and department chair in ITCS. We thank her for her dedication to supporting NPC faculty and students and wish her continued success in her new role.
The updated department name and position title has taken effect this month, and the Faculty in Instructional Support position has been posted. Thank you for your continued collaboration as we strengthen instructional support across the college.
